"It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving."  Mother Teresa of Calcutta, 1910-1997.

  • Yourself, dressed in comfortable--but not too baggy--clothing that you can move in
  • A yoga "sticky mat," which can be purchased at any sporting goods store but also at discount stores such as Target.  Note:  You need a yoga mat and not just any cushioned and slippery exercise mat, but you can use a yoga mat on top of a cushioned mat if you have sensitive knees.   (NOTE:  At the WarriorYoga location, you may borrow a mat for a $1 rental fee.)
  • Be prepared to show your toes, as yoga class is typically done in bare feet to avoid slipping in the standing postures.  If you must wear socks, try to find some non-skid ones.
  • A cover-up/jacket or even a blanket, to layer back on at the end during relaxation phase--your body temperature will decrease as you relax!
  • A water bottle--you may get thirsty as we will "flow" a lot!
  • A hand towel in case you need to wipe sweat off yourself or your yoga mat during class (must not get slippery!).
  • Cash donation, or your checkbook if you want to write a check to the charity (The Clarence Foundation starting September 2007) for tax records purposes.

Suggested donation?  Whatever you feel moved to give, but $12-$15 for a 75-to-90-minute class is plenty (any more is very generous and truly charitable giving)!  The idea is to give you a break compared to what you would usually pay for a yoga class while giving 100% of it to the charity.  Feel free to attend multiple classes yet donate only occasionally, and remember that the donations are tax-deductible.
