Diane Rogers (above) views yoga as a new
treasure in her life and something meant to be shared. Hence was born the “Giving Yoga” concept
of classes offered for donation-only fees which go to charitable organizations. Diane leads most of the Giving Yoga
classes at BelovedYoga's original Reston location.
After Diane began practicing yoga on her own several years ago, yoga began to take over most of her
own fitness routine as well as her general outlook on life, and she decided to become a teacher so she could share it.
She holds Yogafit certificates through their highest levels and is a Registered
Yoga Teacher (RYT, with 200 hours of teacher training) with Yoga Alliance. Besides the steady education
she receives on a daily basis from working with her fellow yoga teachers, she has taken classes and workshops with
many yoga masters--including Donna Farhi, Erich Schiffmann, Dharma Mittra, Baron Baptiste, Shiva Rea, Rodney Yee, David
Swenson, Ana Forrest, Natasha Rizopoulos, Sarah Powers, and Yogafit founder Beth Shaw. Diane teaches in her
own "slow flowing" (vinyasa) style that integrates elements of Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga. This style
takes the best from the various influences to promote core strength, muscular toning, flexibility, balance, and
grace.
Besides leading her Giving Yoga classes at BelovedYoga in Reston, Diane teaches yoga at Equinox and the Tysons
and Regency Sport and Health clubs, all in the Tysons Corner area. Diane also enjoys running and showing other
runners the benefits of yoga. In her "other lives" she is a Ph.D. economist and the proud mom of four kids (come

Ladan Judge (photo to
come!) will be leading most of the Giving Yoga classes at BelovedYoga's Great Falls location. Ladan is a Yoga Alliance
certified yoga instructor and a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She was first exposed to yoga
at the age of nine and has trained in various styles of yoga throughout the years. She believes in the healing aspect of yoga
and has continued her training in Yoga Therapy. She is a graduate of The Yoga of the Heart Training Program; a comprehensive
program developed by Nischala Joy Devi, the co-founder of the Commonweal Cancer Help Program. The program is developed for
people with cancer, heart disease or other life-threatening ailments. Ladan started her career as a yoga instructor in San
Francisco, California and she currently teaches yoga classes at various institutes in the area. Her goal is to inspire students
to attain their goals and find love, peace and joy in their lives. Ladan has a degree in Electrical Engineering and has worked
as a Marketing Consultant. She is currently working towards her Doctorate in Homeopathy. For additional information on private

Karen
Stevenson (above, with Diane) was first introduced to yoga through Giving Yoga over two years ago. She was looking for a way to stay active while undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. A mutual friend
introduced Karen to Diane and Giving Yoga. After the first class, Karen was captivated. Both physically and mentally, practicing
yoga helped her progress through her medical treatments more easily. In addition, she was very excited about the "donation-only"
aspect of Diane's classes and readily made the long commute to practice yoga. Karen has taken and continues to take yoga teacher
trainings through YogaFit. She plans to continue down the path of enhancing her
yoga practice and teaching skills, with a long-term goal of introducing and providing yoga practice to other people going
through cancer treatments.
Christina
Madsen found yoga about 10 years ago and it changed her life.
She discovered great calm and serenity surrounding the practice of yoga but also loved the physical results. Yoga has helped her in so many aspects of life from stress management to pregnancy. “The thing I love most about yoga is that it shows up continuously throughout your day whether it
be a relaxation technique after a long meeting or relieving stress with breathing after a challenging conversation with a
pre-schooler!” After leaving her software development job eight years ago
to become an at-home mom, she had a lot of time to think about what the future had in store for her. “As I practiced more and more yoga, I realized that teaching yoga was the rewarding job I was always
looking for.”
Christina is
leading the Wednesday morning classes in Vienna at the Lakevale Estates clubhouse. Practicing with Christina, you can
expect a little of everything: flowing vinyasas, powerful isometric poses, and restorative relaxation techniques. Recently certified with Yogafit for Level 1, Christina is continuing with her certification process and
looking forward to spreading the joy of yoga.

Bana Yahnke (above) began practicing yoga a year ago at home after
realizing that her daily routine was constantly go...go...go and juggling a home, husband, career, and masters degree was
taking a toll on her mind- body balance.
A week after graduation, she enrolled in a teacher training class to begin
her journey of becoming a certified yoga instructor. She hopes to give the gift of yoga to all and to raise awareness
of the importance of mind-body balance. Bana teaches in her own flow (vinyasa) style, promoting core strength, balance,
and flexibility.
Besides doing yoga, Bana is a Director of Communications & Marketing for a nonprofit student organization.
She enjoys her 3-4 day a week strength training routine and loves to shop.

Ravi Vulli (above) is
a native of India and was trained by a Yogi, Rajan Narayanan, who is
the founder of 5-fold functional exercises of the Life in Yoga Foundation (www.lifeinyoga.org). He has been trained in Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Karma Cleansing,
Rainbow
Bridge Meditation, Kundalani Yoga and Reiki. He is a regular practitioner
and an active researcher of yoga and related practices.
